Overview
We are seeking an experienced Long Haul Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating heavy-duty trucks over long distances, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight across various regions. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with freight handling, and experience operating heavy equipment. A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required, along with a commitment to safety and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Safely operate long-haul trucks over designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Follow safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
- Assist with securing freight for transport to prevent damage during transit
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly long-distance or interstate routes
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation such as forklifts or similar machinery
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment or performing maintenance tasks is desirable
- Valid CDL license with a clean driving record is mandatory
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments

Pay: $44,089.81-$85,000.00 per year
