Civil Construction Labourer

Position Objective:
This role is responsible for working on a civil labour crew operating construction machinery and working
with equipment from project start to finish.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Understanding of sewer and water materials and installation procedures
Ability to properly use compaction equipment
Ability to work safely and be aware of his surroundings at all times
Digging holes and trenches
Operating equipment and tools
Provide assistance with general site preparation and clean-up as directed
Handle and distribute construction materials, as well as safely loading and unloading vehicles
with supplies and equipment as directed
Able to run gas and power equipment (i.e. saws, drills, jumping jacks)
Able to assess work environment for potential health and safety hazards
Removal of all debris from work sites
Assist with traffic control as directed
Other duties as required

Education & Experience:
High School Diploma and 2 years work related experience
Experience operating construction equipment an asset
