Overview
We are seeking a skilled 310S Mechanic to join our team, providing expert automotive repair and maintenance services to normal customers as well as fleets. The ideal candidate will have blended experience, strong mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various tools and schematics. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where quality workmanship and customer satisfaction are prioritized. A wide range of makes models and equipment is repaired in our facility, so an open mind and willingness to expand and grow is a very large asset. Applicants should be detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of handling heavy lifting and assembly tasks efficiently. Exhaust fabrication is on site, as well as trailer services and heavy truck repair operations.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive automotive repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on various vehicle models
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs accurately
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify necessary repairs or replacements
- Assemble and disassemble components using appropriate tools and techniques
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Assist with vehicle diagnostics, including engine, transmission, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate repair status to customers or team members
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as fluid changes, brake repairs, and tire services
- Support the team with heavy lifting and other physical tasks as needed
Experience
- Drive-on inspections
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance
- Proficiency with schematics, assembly processes, and the use of hand and power tools
- Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for vehicle parts or equipment
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about repairs and services
- Truck, trailer and equipment experience is also an asset.
