Taylor Professional Driving Ltd is seeking a Commercial Driving Instructor and Air Brakes Assessor.
Qualifications that must be met are:
· ICBC Class Commercial 1,3,4
· ICBC Airbrakes Assessor
· Strong understanding of Truck/Transport industry and the National Safety Code
· 3-5 years of demonstrated instructor activities.
· Valid Class 1 License and Clean Drivers abstract
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Consistently demonstrates professional code of conduct.
- Be passionate for instructing and mentoring others, and at ease interacting with staff and students.
- Deliver modules for each program we offer for Taylor Professional Driving
- Keep ICBC and Student Records current and accurate
- Document progress on lessons
- Conduct pre-and post-trip Inspections on equipment with the student, and sign off as completed, or noting areas of concern for repair or maintenance.
- Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to
- Stay current on industry and National Safety code
- Conduct student evaluations (marking and grading) and complete comprehensive student progress reporting.
- Proactively and regularly communicate updates and issues to supervisor (regarding site, equipment, safety, student, curriculum)
- Campus opening and closing responsibilities.
- Dress appropriately for weather, and safe work site Policy and WCB regulations around mobile equipment.
*Taylor Professional Driving Does not Offer MELT Training at this time.
