Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various products and surfaces, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role requires a strong understanding of safety procedures, mechanical systems, and the use of various tools and equipment. The Painter will play a vital part in maintaining the aesthetic and protective qualities of our products while adhering to production schedules and quality specifications.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, or masking as needed
- Apply paint, coatings, or finishes using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other power tools
- Operate machinery such as boom lift, scissors lift safely to move materials or equipment as required
- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks when necessary
- Follow safety protocols related to chemical handling, equipment operation, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues related to painting equipment or related machinery
Requirements
- Experience with hand tools, power tools.
- Experience with assembly processes is a plus
- Prior experience operating boom lift and scissors is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of safety procedures related to industrial painting and equipment operation
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: $20.25-$34.24 per hour
