The Opportunity
Join a progressive, large-scale grain operation as a key team member. We are looking for an operator who balances "old school" mechanical grit with "new school" technological expertise. You will be responsible for operating high-horsepower machinery, managing heavy logistics, and leveraging drone technology to optimize our yields.
Key Qualifications
- Licensing: Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of grain equipment operation (seeding, spraying, and harvest).
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically capable of lifting and moving heavy, awkward objects (up to 75 lbs) and working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
- Drone Knowledge: Ability to operate and maintain agricultural drones for scouting or granular application. (Advanced RPAS Certificate is an asset).
- Agronomy: Prior experience in agronomy is a great asset but not required.
- Attention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented with a strong ability to problem-solve in the field.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a modern fleet of grain equipment.
- Haul commodities and move heavy equipment using Class 1 assets.
- Conduct aerial crop scouting missions and assist in data-driven decision-making.
- Perform rigorous seasonal maintenance and field repairs.
