Journeyman Plumber / Gasfitter (B) – Service

We specialize in service, retrofits, and design/build solutions across multi-family high-rise and low-rise residential buildings, as well as commercial facilities throughout Alberta. Our reputation is built on craftsmanship, technical competence, and long-standing client relationships.
Due to increasing service demand, we are currently seeking a Journeyman Plumber / Gasfitter (B) to join our service team.
The Role
This position is focused on field service work within multi-family and commercial buildings. The work includes troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of plumbing, gas, HVAC equipment within the scope of gasfitting (including make-up air units and RTUs) and hydronic systems in occupied buildings.
You will work directly with customers, diagnose issues, and contribute to long-term, proactive service solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, service, test, repair, and maintain plumbing, gas, HVAC, hydronic, and mechanical systems
- Perform repairs and maintenance on domestic water, sanitary, storm, gas, HVAC and hydronic systems
- Respond to service calls and dispatches, including fault diagnosis and corrective action
- Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding system condition, required repairs, and recommendations
- Provide professional quotations and estimates for repair and service work
- Maintain service documentation using mobile tools and software
- Participate in the on-call rotation
- Collaborate with the Service Operations team during site start-ups and ongoing service planning
- Maintain personal tools and equipment in safe, working condition
- Maintain company vehicle to cleanliness and maintenance standards
- Complete mandatory safety and service paperwork
Qualifications
- Journeyman Plumber ticket (required)
- Journeyman Gasfitter (B) ticket (required)
- Proven multi-family and commercial field service experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Good working knowledge of plumbing, gas, mechanical, HVAC and hydronic systems
- Boiler experience considered an asset
- Gasfitter A certification considered an asset
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working under pressure in live-service environments
- Familiarity with mobile service software and digital documentation
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
- Willingness to travel within the Edmonton region only (no out-of-town work at this time)
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $42.00 per hour, with overtime paid in accordance with employment standards
- Full-time, permanent employment (40 hours per week)

Schedule
- 8-hour shifts
