Sales Associate
Position Summary
The Inside Sales Associate is responsible for supporting customers, preparing quotations, processing orders, and coordinating with the sales, production, purchasing, and shipping teams. This role requires strong communication, ability to coordinate with the administrative and production teams, attention to detail, and the ability to understand industrial coating products, specifications, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email.
- Meet established sales targets and consistently adhere to deadlines.
- Communicate regularly with customers and keep them informed of the current status and progress of their quotations.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations and estimates, ensuring the scope of work is clearly defined before the final quote sent to customer
- Review customer drawings, specifications, quantities, and coating requirements clearly.
- Work closely with vendors to obtain accurate product pricing, availability, and lead-time information.
- Coordinate with production to confirm scheduling and job completion dates.
- Maintain customer records, pricing information, and sales documentation.
- Follow up on open quotations and identify potential sales opportunities.
- Identify any gaps or inefficiencies in existing processes and recommend practical alternatives to support continuous improvement.
- Perform other administrative and sales-related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inside sales, estimating preparation
- Experience in industrial and Teflon coatings, manufacturing, oil and gas, thermal spray (HVOF)and machining is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good mathematical and measurement skills.
- Ability to read technical specifications and drawings is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple quotations and orders in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting or ERP software, preferably QuickBooks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Knowledge
- Industrial coating systems and surface preparation.
- Thermal spray (HVOF), Machining and grinding.
- Paint coverage calculations and material requirements.
- Coating specifications, including NACE, SSPC, and customer-specific standards.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing and production processes.ie Machining and grinding.

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
