Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Lead to support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced cafeteria environment. This role is responsible for leading kitchen service, maintaining food quality and safety standards, supporting team development, and helping ensure smooth daily operations.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who works well with the team and can maintain organization, consistency, and positive leadership during service.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support daily kitchen operations
* Oversee food preparation and service execution
* Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation
* Support and train kitchen staff
* Monitor food safety and sanitation standards
* Assist with inventory and ordering
* Support prep planning and station organization
* Help manage service flow during busy periods
* Maintain clean and organized work areas
* Communicate effectively with management and team members
* Assist with opening and closing procedures
* Support kitchen performance and team accountability
Qualifications
* 2+ years kitchen experience preferred
* Leadership or Lead Cook experience considered an asset
* High-volume kitchen experience preferred
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Food Safety certification preferred
* Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Flexible availability including weekends and seasonal business demands
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
