The Paint Manufacturing Technician will ensure the daily production schedule is met and the finished products are shipped to the customer on time. This will typically be accomplished through the efficient management and hands-on production resources such as blends, running equipment, understanding materials, time and by using structured problem-solving techniques and sound statistical methods to develop consistency and meet all deadlines.
As a Team Member, you will;
- Have the ability and license to operate a forklift
- Work closely with lead Engineering to assist with quality control, consistency in blending products, matching paint colours immaculately and understanding the color chart system (ie. RAL Colours, Industrial Colours, Safety Colours)
- Have an understanding in direct to metal paints & primers, enamels/polyurethane/urethane and automotive coatings
- Have an understanding of application of paints with conventional compressor hvlp, and airless machines
- Have an understanding in adjusting viscosities
- Have an understanding in how to read Material Safety Data Sheets, and Safety Data Sheets
- Heavy lifting and operating manual lifts up to 100lbs
- PPE equipment required to be worn at all times
- Develop and implement a succession plan for production and shipping positions

Qualifications
- Diploma or Trades Degree in Industrial, Automotive Technician
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production leadership position, or in a manufacturing environment
