Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures primarily using wood and other materials. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, carpentry, and concrete forming, with an emphasis on safety and precision. The Framer will work closely with project managers and other trades to ensure timely and quality completion of projects.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute framing projects
- Construct and install wall frames, floors, roofs, and other structural components using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment
- Use woodworking skills to create custom components or modifications as required
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Assist in restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged structures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or related fields with a focus on framing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations in construction environments
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions from supervisors
- Valid Fall Protection certification or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory
- Prior experience with Framing is a plus
