Position Summary:
As a Warehouse Associate at Three Farmers Foods Inc., you play a key role in supporting efficient warehouse and inventory operations. This position is responsible for the accurate receiving, handling, storage, picking, and shipping of goods, ensuring all inventory movements are properly documented within the ERP system.
You will contribute to maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production and order fulfillment, and ensuring materials are staged and handled in accordance with operational requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the safe operation of warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
Your work is essential to ensuring timely order processing, effective inventory control, and the overall flow of goods through the warehouse.
Primary Responsibilities:
Receiving & Shipping Operations
· Receive incoming shipments, verifying quantities and inspecting for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage outbound orders to ensure timely and complete delivery.
- Prepare and organize all required shipping documentation, including packing lists, bills of lading, shipping labels, and QA records.
- Coordinate with carriers and freight providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure all shipments meet customer-specific requirements and service expectations.
Material Handling & Equipment Operation
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
- Move, store, and stage materials to support efficient warehouse flow and production needs.
- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to prioritize workload and ensure timely material availability.
Documentation & Reporting
- Accurately record all inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and shipments.
- Generate and maintain reports related to shipping, receiving, and inventory movements.
- Communicate inventory discrepancies, shipment issues, or process gaps to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
Compliance, Food Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Follow proper handling, storage, and traceability procedures for food-grade products.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and workflow.
Order Fulfillment & Assembly Support (As Required)
- Pick, assemble, pack, and ship e-commerce and direct-to-consumer orders within established service timelines (typically within one business day).
- Fulfill retail and distribution orders with customer-specific requirements (e.g., Walmart, Amazon, TJX), ensuring accuracy and adherence to compliance standards.
- Support labeling activities, including creation, printing, and application of customer-specific labels and case markings.
- Ensure all orders are prepared in accordance with shipping, quality, and customer compliance requirements.
Education and Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in shipping/receiving, order picking, and inventory control processes is an asset.
- Previous experience working with an ERP or warehouse management system (WMS) is considered an asset.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification required.
- Experience in a food production or food-safe environment is an asset.
- Familiarity with customer-specific compliance requirements (e.g., major retail or e-commerce fulfillment) is an asset.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in using ERP or inventory management systems for transaction entry, inventory tracking, and reporting.
- Working knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Ability to accurately complete shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels).
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of inventory control practices, including cycle counting and lot code traceability.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and data entry.
- Familiarity with barcode scanners and warehouse technology is an asset.
- Understanding of workplace safety standards and, ideally, food safety requirements (e.g., GMPs).
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
