Part-Time Esthetician — Port Moody & Downtown Vancouver
Mint Smile Bar & Aesthetics is seeking a friendly, motivated Esthetician to join our growing team. We specialize in professional teeth whitening, advanced skincare treatments, lash lifts and brow services.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent esthetics graduate who wants hands-on experience, additional certifications and the opportunity to grow within a small, expanding company.
Position Details
- Part-time, approximately 12–30 hours per week
- Potential to grow into full-time hours for the right candidate
- Primarily based at our Port Moody location
- Occasional shifts may be available at our Downtown Vancouver location
- Preference may be given to candidates who can work at both locations
- Interviews and training will take place at our Port Moody location
- Must be available Saturdays
- Must have flexible availability Tuesday through Saturday
- Occasional scheduled standby/on-call availability may be required
Compensation and Benefits
- Base wage: $18.25 per hour
- Tips typically bring average hourly earnings to approximately $23–$25+ per hour
- Additional commission opportunities
- Vacation pay and statutory holiday pay
- Dental and extended health benefits may be available to employees who consistently work at least four days per week

- Collaborative, respectful and able to work well with different personalities
- Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining exceptionally high sanitation standards
- Positive, energetic and willing to take initiative
Because client education is a major part of this position, strong communication skills are essential.
Qualifications
- Esthetics certificate or diploma
- Customer service experience
- Facial treatment experience preferred
- Lash lift and brow service experience is an asset
- Sales or retail experience is an asset
- Teeth-whitening experience is not required—training and certification will be provided
Treatment Responsibilities
- Perform professional teeth-whitening treatments
- Perform Hydro Facials, dermaplaning, acne treatments, chemical peels, nano-infusion and microneedling treatments
- Perform lash lifts, brow laminations and tinting
- Explain treatment options and provide clear pre- and post-care instructions
- Recommend appropriate treatment packages, maintenance services and home-care products
- Maintain accurate and complete client treatment records
Additional treatment training will be provided where required.
Additional Responsibilities
- Welcome clients and provide an excellent experience from arrival through checkout
- Answer calls and respond to customer inquiries
- Book, confirm and manage appointments
- Process payments
- Enter and update client information in our booking system
- Track inventory and notify management when supplies need to be reordered
- Clean and sanitize treatment stations, equipment and sinks
- Sweep, mop, remove garbage and help keep the clinic clean and organized
- Follow all health, safety, infection-control and sanitation procedures
This position is best suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and wants to grow their skills within the beauty and aesthetics industry.
