Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery to support construction, logistics, and material handling projects. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and precision to ensure smooth operations across job sites. Prior experience with forklift operation, freight handling, and commercial driving is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise in heavy equipment operation and automotive repair can be utilized and further developed.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and forklifts to move materials and perform site development tasks
- Safely load and unload freight using appropriate machinery and techniques
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards
- Assist with automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to maintain equipment functionality
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries on-site
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and logistics operations
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy machinery operation
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy loads as needed
- Relevant certifications or training in heavy equipment operation is highly desirable
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment
Pay: From $29.00 per hour
