Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth daily operations. Duties
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies
- Take dental radiographs
- Manage patient records accurately
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-procedure care
- Ensure patient comfort and address their questions or concerns professionally
- Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist when required, including scheduling appointments
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and OSHA guidelines
- Assist with inventory management of dental supplies and equipment maintenance
Skills
- Experience with orthodontic procedures is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinical environment
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance
