Parking Ambassador
Location: Comox/Campbell River, BC
Pay: CA$22.00 per hour
Schedule: Full time 5 days a week
- Typical shifts:
- Campbell River & Comox - 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. 4 days a week.
- Comox -1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. 1 day a week on the weekend alternating days.
Position Overview
Robbins Parking is seeking a motivated Parking Ambassador to join our Patrol Team in the Comox/Campbell River area. This is a full-time position.
As a Parking Ambassador, you will monitor and enforce parking regulations on behalf of property owners and municipalities. Must enjoy interacting with the public and creating a welcoming, positive experience for all our clients and customers. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Primary Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned parking lots and streets to enforce posted parking regulations.
- Drive between multiple locations during scheduled shifts.
- Use electronic ticketing software and issue manual parking tickets when required, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
- Monitor parking time limits and record vehicle arrival and expiry times to identify overstays and ensure compliance with posted regulations.
- Report maintenance and safety concerns, including potholes, damaged signage, suspicious or abandoned vehicles.
- Communicate regularly with office staff and supervisors by phone and email regarding issues requiring attention.
- Coordinate with management regarding vehicles requiring towing or immobilization.
- Must have knowledge of local area to be able to respond to customers questions and provide local information.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Ability to walk, stand, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly.
Physical and Work Conditions
- Frequent driving between parking locations.
- Extended periods of walking and standing.
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
