We are a growing insurance brokerage committed to providing exceptional service to our clients while supporting our team with a collaborative and professional work environment. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Administrator to join our team.
Position Summary
The Accounting Administrator will be responsible for managing the brokerage's day-to-day accounting and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Process daily insurance transactions, including payments, refunds, and policy financing.
- Reconcile client accounts
- Prepare and issue invoices, receipts, and payment confirmations.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting procedures.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
- Coordinate with insurance companies regarding billing, commissions, and payment discrepancies.
- Support brokers with payment-related inquiries and accounting requests.
- Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (insurance brokerage experience is considered an asset).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
