- (Internal Title: Cost Analyst)
- Support the development and management of project budgets and cost estimates
- Work closely with project teams to ensure that budgets are aligned with project goals, timelines are realistic, and cost estimates are accurate
- Track project costs, identify potential cost overruns or issues, and proactively communicate with project stakeholders to mitigate risks
- Prepare financial reports and presentations, as needed, as well as in the coordination of financial meetings and documentation
- Contribute to the creation of cashflows and “Estimated Final Costs” for large capital projects
- Participate in the various phases of the contracts including the development of terms and conditions, negotiations of contracts, and warranty administration
- Report on the progress and status of contracts
- Ensure schedules for acquisition projects are prepared, monitored, and maintained
- Provide project control support for all aspects of the capital budget preparation
- Monitor cost analysis, controls, and reconciliation for the assigned projects
- Collaborate on reviewing contractual reliabilities and design and maintain project control databases, spreadsheets, and other control systems to support these functions
- Prepare board reports and supporting documentation for project approvals and contract awards
- Develop monthly accruals related to project contracts
- Track and provide analysis for Earned Value as required
- Support procedural updates and corporate initiatives related to costing
- Complete any tasks assigned by the Intermediate Cost Analyst or higher in an efficient and timely manner
- Working Conditions
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
- Licenses OR Certifications:
- Registered for and seeking AACE CCP, CEP, PSP, PRMP, EVP, or PMI equivalent
- Has completed equivalent training or successfully passed designated proficiency testing in lieu of the above
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Knowledge of Contract Administration principles, methods, procedures, and practices, as well as project management methods and practices
- In-depth understanding of business administration concepts with emphasis on scheduling principles combined with a good knowledge of budget and cost control concepts
- Proficiency in MRP systems including MAXIMO, EcoSys, and WorkDay is considered an asset
- Independently tailor technical information for different audiences through presentations, reports, and other means
- Must foster positive relationships with various stakeholders
- Tact to perceive and ameliorate conflict and tension
- Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimum input from leadership
- Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities
- Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal)
- Excellent reading and language comprehension
- Ability to detect and capitalize on others' strengths
- Expert ability to work collaboratively and independently in a structured, disciplined, technology-driven environment
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
