Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will support food preparation and service operations, ensuring food safety standards are upheld while assisting with meal and food handling tasks. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is a plus but not required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and readiness for use
- Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff
- Support food service operations by maintaining a clean work environment
- Help with food prep activities such as chopping, assembling ingredients, or portioning meals when needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Restock supplies in the kitchen and dining areas as necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, counters, and storage spaces
Requirements
- Prior experience in cooking, restaurant work, or food service is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting pots, pans, or boxes of supplies
- Flexibility to work during peak hours including weekends or evenings if required
- Positive attitude with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards
Pay: $15.50-$17.50 per hour
