Peach City Animal Hospital is growing, and we are looking for warm, professional, and energetic Full-Time and Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist(s) to join our team.
As the first and last point of contact for our clients and their pets, our reception team plays a vital role in creating an exceptional client experience. We are seeking compassionate, organized, and motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
About the Position
The Veterinary Receptionist is responsible for managing client communications, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate patient files, processing payments, and supporting the veterinary team with administrative tasks. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome clients and their pets with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to client inquiries efficiently
- Schedule appointments and coordinate daily hospital bookings
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as needed
- Assist with client check-in and check-out procedures
- Process invoices and payments accurately
- Communicate treatment plans, follow-up recommendations, and pet care instructions clearly
- Ensure reception and client areas remain clean, organized, and welcoming
- Support veterinarians and veterinary assistants with administrative duties
- Contribute to a positive team environment and exceptional client service
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary reception experience is preferred
- Experience in a veterinary hospital, animal care facility, kennel, or related environment is considered a strong asset
- Comfortable interacting with dogs, cats, and their owners
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Professional appearance and polished presentation
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly
- Reliable, self-motivated, and eager to learn
- Excellent telephone etiquette and active listening skills
- Ability to handle client concerns with empathy, patience, and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
