Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing exceptional patient care, promoting oral health, and working efficiently within a team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment where patient education and comfort are prioritized. Experience with dental software such as Maxident, as well as knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics, is highly valued. Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve our diverse patient community.
Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Assist in the diagnosis of oral health issues by documenting findings and communicating with dentists
- Maintain accurate patient records using Maxident or other dental management software
- Support the dental team with chairside assisting during various procedures
- Manage patient appointments efficiently and ensure a positive patient experience
- Sterilize instruments and prepare treatment areas in accordance with infection control protocols
- Address patient questions regarding treatments, procedures, and post-care instructions
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred
- Proficiency with Maxident or similar dental management software
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patients
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance patient communication
- Experience in dental assisting is a plus but not required
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $45.00-$60.00 per hour
