Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems, ensuring efficient and safe handling of goods within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials
- Assist with order picking, packaging, and order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery
- Manage shipping and receiving processes accurately using warehouse management systems like SAP WMS
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of products and materials
- Maintain safety standards during the operation of heavy equipment and general warehouse activities
- Support inventory management through accurate stock counting and organization
- Assist in construction or manufacturing-related tasks as needed for warehouse maintenance or setup
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of goods, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or manufacturing environments
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers; certification preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and equipment operation
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems like AS400 or similar platforms
- Strong physical ability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
- Experience with order picking, packaging, load & unload procedures
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures
- Prior experience in construction or heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Warehouse experience involving inventory control and order fulfillment is highly desirable
