We are currently seeking a Warehouse Assistant who is a self-starter, a team player, and ready to contribute to our high standards of service. This role offers a clear career path once training is successfully completed, the position will be promoted to Warehouse Manager.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with wrapping, loading, and unloading of overseas containers and goods
- Prepare LCL shipments for export, load lift vans and crates, and maintain an inventory of crates
- Load air shipments into “D” and “LDN” containers
- Load outbound air/LCL shipments onto freight trucks and unload incoming shipments
- Keep the warehouse organized and clutter-free while maintaining safety standards
- Sweep and tidy the warehouse as needed
- Ensure safe work practices for all warehouse staff and visitors
- Maintain local truck equipment, purchase supplies when required, and coordinate floor runner cleaning
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks for local and long-distance moves
- Ensure all customer goods are stored safely and securely
What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma
- Intermediate computer skills (asset)
- General knowledge of the moving industry
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Self-motivated team player with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- 3–5 years’ moving experience required, preferably including cross-border/US moves
