Reporting to the Program Manager of Addictions and Mental Health in Correctional Health Services, this position will act as a member of multidisciplinary teams that provide assessment and treatment services that are evidence and recovery based, aligned with best practice approaches, policy, legislation, and designated standards of practice within the context of a correctional facility.
As a Social Worker II, you will be a member of an inter-disciplinary team and provides a range of social work services to patients and their families. Your services may include: psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, individual, group and family treatment, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Fully registered with Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW). Understanding of correctional facilities and population served. Ability to balance numerous demands and complex issues with conflicting priorities.
