Laserwest Fabricators is looking for a skilled Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment using various welding techniques. As a Welder at Laserwest, you will play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment using MIG and TIG welding techniques.
- Use cutters, shapers, and measuring tools to complete layouts and setups accurately.
- Read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and drawings.
- Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures to identify and correct any flaws.
- Perform layout work using jigs and fixtures.
- Assist with dye penetration testing, as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet project deadlines.
- Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs as required.
- Be willing to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of welding experience (preferred).
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding is a MUST.
- MUST be able to weld mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Familiarity with ABB Robotic Welding Cell is a plus.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
- Knowledge of dye penetration testing is a plus.
- Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- CWB Welding certification is a plus but not required.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
