Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to support children's progress and well-being
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities using computer systems
- Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum and classroom routines
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and licensing requirements
- Assist in organizing classroom materials, resources, and learning tools to ensure an organized learning space
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with early childhood education best practices
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is required
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is preferred
- Classroom experience in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a strong asset
- Demonstrated leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational abilities are essential
- Familiarity with computer operation, classroom management software, and documentation tools is necessary
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
