What you need
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technician, or a related field such as Mining or Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Transport Canada Basic Operations certification for Remotely Piloted Aircraft is considered an asset

Previous experience in mining or heavy civil construction is considered an asset

Experience with Trimble GPS survey equipment, total stations, and drone-based photogrammetry is considered an asset

Familiarity with Deswik or AutoCAD Civil 3D for survey-related tasks is considered an asset

Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines

Strong problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Job Description
- Complete project-specific survey tasks including layouts, as-built topographic surveys, quantity measurements, and grade verification

Perform drone survey work including flight planning, ground control point setup, and image processing using PIX4D software

Support construction teams with field coordination and daily planning to ensure work aligns with issued-for-construction drawings

Assist Project Leads with drafting tasks, including preparation of design surfaces for data collectors and machine control systems

Support weekly inspections and monitoring of tailings and water management structures through reports and checklists

Assist with aggregate and crushing requirements, including planning and quantity tracking

Support QA/QC sampling and testing of aggregates, including particle size distribution analysis

Identify and report hazards, ensuring timely mitigation in collaboration with supervisors and safety teams
