55,000 - $67,000
Position Rationale:
The Auxiliary Programs Coordinator (APC) provides leadership and operational oversight for Stratford Hall's auxiliary programs, including After School Care (ASC), recess supervision, internal and external clubs, and day and summer camps. The APC is responsible for the planning, delivery, staffing, safety, financial management, and continuous improvement of these programs.
Working collaboratively with the School Leadership Team and Senior School Auxiliary Coordinator to develop engaging, high-quality programs that align with the School's mission while supporting the needs of Stratford Hall families and expanding opportunities for both the school and wider community.

Qualifications

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Education, Recreation, Child & Youth Care, Business, or a related field.

CPR/AED certification.

Concussion awareness training.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and school breaks
Key Responsibilities
-
Lead the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of all auxiliary programs, including ASC, day camps, summer programs, supervision, clubs, and in- class support for part of the day.

Promote auxiliary programs to families and the community.
-
Develop innovative programs that enhance student learning and engagement.

Ensure programs align with Stratford Hall's mission, values, and operational standards:
Source and evaluate high-quality programs that support student learning and development
Maintain regular check-ins to ensure student programming aligns with student and school values
Utilize and reference the budget when planning

Manage annual budget for auxiliary programs that have been set by Finance.

Suggest program fees to maintain a balanced budget

Timely management of registration, attendance, billing information, payroll submissions, and reporting.

Ensure all programs operate within approved budgets.

Order program supplies and resources.

Communicate with families as necessary about billing and student issues

Recruit, hire, onboard, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate auxiliary staff.

Foster a positive team culture and support staff professional growth.

Ensure appropriate staffing levels and supervision ratios.

Conduct annual performance reviews and support the development and implementation of individual professional growth plans in accordance with school performance management practices, in consultation with the Junior School Principal

Establish and monitor safety procedures, emergency protocols, and risk management practices.

Ensure compliance with school policies and applicable regulations.
-
Maintain safe facilities and outdoor learning spaces, including Clark Park.
-
Oversee incident reporting and communication with families and school staff.
Camps Programs
-
Develop and oversee engaging camps during school breaks and professional development days.
-
Coordinate facilities, transportation, insurance, staffing, and logistics.
-
Ensure camps are financially sustainable.

Develop and maintain the Summer Program
-
Coordinate internal and external club offerings of high quality.
-
Recruit and manage external vendors.
-
Coordinate scheduling with Principals and teaching staff.

Manage registrations, attendance, insurance documentation, and program quality.
-
Coordinate recess, lunch, and crossing supervision.

Ensure student dismissal protocols during camps and ASC are adhered to for students' safety

Ensure supervision schedules, staffing, and safety protocols are maintained.

Implement initiatives that support student wellbeing and care of shared outdoor spaces.

Partner with Principals, Vice-Principals, Coordinators, the Senior Leadership Team to support school operations.

Coordinate in-class support staffing as requested by the Junior School Principal.

Provide in-class support for half the day

Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to auxiliary programming.
