Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop hospitality skills within a fast-paced food service environment, contributing to memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and adherence to food safety regulations
- Assist in setting up tables, refilling supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions, special requests, and resolving concerns professionally
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of the food industry standards
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient order processing
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality excellence
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests and team members seamlessly
- Willingness to upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase revenue
