Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a commitment to maintaining beautiful landscapes.
Must have experience with various tasks related to landscape maintenance, including lawn care, garden bed maintenance, hedge trimming, and operating both hand and power tools.
Experience with installing sod and artificial grass preferred.
Horticultural certificate preferred, not required.
The Landscape Laborer will contribute to creating and sustaining aesthetically pleasing environments for residential and commercial properties.
Minimum 25 hours / week.
Starting at $25.00 / hour, wage depending on experience.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and weeding.
- Dig garden beds for planting trees, shrubs, and flowers.
- Build and maintain garden beds, ensuring proper soil conditions.
- Irrigate plants and landscapes effectively to promote healthy growth.
- Operate power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers safely and efficiently.
- Utilize hand tools for various landscaping tasks including planting and maintenance.
- Assist in the installation of sod and artificial grass.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing tools and equipment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge to operate various landscaping equipment effectively.
- Ability to build garden structures or features that enhance outdoor spaces.
- Experience in landscape maintenance is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using both power tools and hand tools safely.
- Capability to dig, plant, and maintain gardens with attention to detail.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions.
