Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Applications Engineer and/or Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in Progressing Cavity Pump (PCP) systems to support operations in the Canadian oilfield. This role focuses on the design, optimization, and field support of PCP systems to maximize production efficiency and equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, select, and optimize PCP systems for various well conditions
- Analyze well performance data and recommend optimization strategies
- Troubleshoot PCP-related issues including pump failures, elastomer performance, and downhole conditions
- Provide technical support to field operations and customers
- Work closely with sales and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions
- Prepare technical proposals, system designs, and performance reports
- Support installation, commissioning, and ongoing optimization of equipment
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related discipline
- 3+ years of experience with PCP systems in the Canadian oilfield
- Strong understanding of heavy oil, sand production, and deviated well applications
- Experience with PCP surface drive systems, prime movers, and hydraulic systems is a strong asset
- Familiarity with artificial lift design and diagnostic software/tools
- Hands-on field experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Willingness to travel to field locations
- Valid driver’s license

Pay: $80,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
