Position Summary:
- Perform 2D, m-mode, color flow echocardiograms for non-invasive diagnosis and assessment of cardiovascular disease in adults, children and infants at any of the THP sites
- Assist with transesophageal echoes (TEE’s) and contrast studies
- Maintain accurate records of tests performed
- Assist with statistical data and quality assurance for echo lab
- Ensure equipment is functioning properly and maintain adequate supplies
- Maintains a safe work environment for co-workers, patients and visitors
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize use of available resources

Qualifications:
THP is committed to internal talent, and therefore priority will be given to internal applicants.
- Current Registration with a recognized credentialing organization (CARDUP/ARDMS)
- Must be registered with CMRITO on an annual basis
- Practical experience in adult echocardiography required
- Practical experience in paediatric echocardiography is an asset
- Experience with stress echocardiograms is an asset
- Experience with transesophageal echocardiograms and contrast echocardiograms is an asset
- Current BCLS & CPR certification
- Ability to work independently as well as a member of a dynamic team
- Demonstrated effective decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with excellent patient care skills
- A service excellence attitude is essential
- Strong organizational skills combined with effective problem-solving abilities
Positive work and attendance record is essential
