Overview
We are looking for a friendly, energetic and motivated person to join our team. This is a hands on role in a busy market cafe environment. You will be helping with food preparation, serving customers, accepting deliveries, and stocking shelves. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, experience in the food industry, and a strong commitment to food safety and cleanliness. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation and food assembly to support kitchen operations
- Prepare ingredients, in a timely and efficient manner while working alone at times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, including washing dishes and utensils
- Handle food safely according to established health and safety standards
- Support food service activities, including serving customers
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock levels
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service is a must
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food handling practices
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and standards within the food industry
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team and independantly
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on various kitchen duties as needed
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety at all times

Pay: $17.20-$27.49 per hour
