The Jr. Buyer/Planner is responsible for the production planning and procurement of material. The Jr. Buyer/Planner ensures all production plans are in place to support the customer requirements and creates strong procurement plans to support the month production plan. Using the planning tools, the Jr. Buyer/Planner supports the Production Coordinator and Operations Manager in the ability to accurately forecast the facilities trajectory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Create weekly production plan with updated risk items to support the company Line by Line report.

Work closely with Site Planners on required Sub-Assemblies.

Support Operations Manager and Production Coordinator in creating monthly labour plans.

Review and complete Manufacturing Plans for new builds

Enter production plans into File Pro to support Program need dates.

Actively seek opportunity to move surplus

Monitor and support Time to Stage metrics

Create a kit plan for the Material Clerk to support weekly kit requirements.

Monitor weekly shippers and ensure final sale occurs on time to plan.

Ensure Out Bound shipments – Tools / Returns / Sales – are completed in a timely manner.

Action Time to Order, Time to Acknowledge, Time to Deliver Supply Chain triggers

Maintain Supply Chain and Planning metrics

Monitor and procure Make Buy 6 items for production

Responsible for Office and Building needs procurement

Ensure Open Order reports are provided to supply base weekly to confirm order delivery.

Actively work all expedite needs to support Production Build Plan. Involve the Operations Manager if alignment with the Production Plan is not possible.

Collaborate with Programs on clearing New Product Introductions to support customer needs.

Work closely with Engineering Technician on tooling / test / NPI procurement needs

Quote and create a PO for Equipment Calibration / Outside Services
Job Requirements

2+ Years of work experience in production planning
-
2+ Years of work experience in Supply Chain Management
-
2 Year Diploma in Supply Chain Management, preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office
-
Strong communication skills
-
Willing to work overtime as needed
