Job Overview
We are looking for a cashier for a food truck for Wednesday June 4th and Thursday June 5th, 2026
Possibility of long term catering work leading into serving wedding
This role involves taking orders, receiving payments, providing change, etc.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong hospitality skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is mandatory. If you don't have experience in a kitchen please don't apply. A friendly demeanour and the ability to work efficiently under pressure is also required.
A reliable method of transportation and the willingness to travel is required.
Hours are limited and weekend availability is a must
Wages are based on experience and work performance
Duties
- Prepare and serve food items according to established build sheets and standards
- Assist with food handling and safety procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Serve customers in a courteous and professional manner, addressing their needs promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment
- Replenish supplies and ensure proper food presentation
- Follow all safety protocols related to food preparation and service
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy hours
- Set up of catering event, serving food, clean up, take down.
Qualifications
- Experience with Square Payment Software is an asset
- Experience as a cashier required
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable attitude
- Ability to serve efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with food preparation, serving, and basic kitchen duties is advantageous
- Catering experience or background in hospitality is a plus
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
