Overview
We are seeking a skilled and licensed mechanic to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with a strong background in dealership settings preferred. This role involves performing complex repairs, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and quality standards. Candidates must possess a valid mechanic license and demonstrate proficiency with various tools and schematics. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other vehicle systems utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid replacements, and system calibrations
- Utilize welding skills for structural repairs or modifications when necessary
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to accurately identify repair requirements
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs and maintenance performed on each vehicle
- Assist with vehicle assembly or disassembly during repair or restoration projects
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and estimated timelines
Experience
- Valid mechanic license with proven dealership experience highly preferred
- Extensive knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics
- Demonstrated experience in automotive repair or maintenance roles
- Ability to lift heavy components safely and perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
- Previous experience working in a dealership environment is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and services

Pay: $24.84-$45.76 per hour
