Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behaviour Interventionist to support children with diverse behavioural and developmental needs. The ideal candidate will work closely with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to implement individualized behavior plans developed by our team of Behaviour Consultant and Support Specialists. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children by promoting positive behaviors and supporting their overall well-being.
Duties
- Implement and monitor behaviour intervention plans tailored to each child's unique needs
- Collect data related to behavioural progress and treatment effectiveness
- Collaborate with families to ensure consistency across environments
- Provide direct support to children, including behavior management strategies and social skills training
- Document all interventions, observations, and progress notes accurately in compliance with privacy regulations
- Support children in daily activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patient care
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children, preferably in special education or behavioral health settings
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and medical terminology
- Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and reporting related to behaviour management
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with patience, empathy, and professionalism
- Relevant certifications or licenses in behavioural health or related fields are a plus but not mandatory
- Commitment to ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in patient care and behavioural interventions
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
