Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, IT Infrastructure, Support and Security, the Collaboration Specialist is responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise collaboration platforms, including Zoom and Microsoft 365 tools such as SharePoint, OneDrive, and Viva. The role balances operational support (60%) with platform enhancement, testing, user enablement, and adoption activities (40%). A strong focus on user experience, practical know-how, and platform adoption is critical to success in this role.
Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Hybrid
- In-office expectation of three days per week.
- A typical work week applies, with occasional after-hours or weekend support required for on-call rotation, upgrades, updates, and escalated support activities.
- Some travel may be required; a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are needed to travel to supported sites.
What you will do
Platform Support & Administration (60%)
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues across collaboration tools
- Configure and manage platform settings, policies, permissions, and integrations
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Maintain system health, performance, and reliability
- Partner with security, service desk, and infrastructure teams to support compliance and platform standards
Platform Improvement & Adoption (40%)
- Test and validate new features, updates, and releases
- Improve user engagement and usage metrics across platforms
- Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and procedures
- Support change management and version control activities
- Identify opportunities to optimize performance, automation, and user experience
- Create user guides and deliver training to support adoption
- Maintain governance standards, including naming, access, and lifecycle management
What You’ll Bring
Qualifications
- 3–5 years’ experience supporting enterprise collaboration platforms
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Viva
- Hands-on experience with Zoom, including Chat, Meetings, AI Companion, Zoom Phone, and Contact Center
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with identity and access management, including Entra ID and SSO
- Understanding of security and compliance concepts, including DLP and retention
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred
- Experience with Power Platform, Power Automate, or scripting
- Familiarity with ITIL practices
- Experience in large, distributed environments
