Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lawn Maintenance Technician to join our landscaping team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through various landscaping and horticultural tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening, landscape maintenance, and working outdoors, with the ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment to ensure high-quality results.
Responsibilities
- Mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, and edging to maintain aesthetic appeal
- Operating machinery such as excavators and power tools for landscape projects
- Installing and repairing irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes
- Performing gardening tasks including planting, fertilizing, and weed control
- Conducting routine maintenance on landscape equipment and tools
- Assisting with construction or installation projects related to landscape features
- Ensuring safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities
- Monitoring plant health and recommending appropriate horticultural practices
Requirements
- Experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining landscaping equipment
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction-related tools
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and their installation or repair is a plus
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, digging, and operating machinery for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Prior experience with excavators or other heavy machinery is advantageous
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license preferred but not required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
Work Location: On the road
