Loving Hands Partners In Care is a small business in Calgary, AB. We are professional, agile, innovative, and our goal is to Provide quality support, community access and build on friendships making memories. It is a recognized licensed Day Program that provides services to individuals living in the community, who wish to participate in social programming and connect with peers, and/or require support throughout the day.
Our goal is to enable our members the opportunity to participate in both structured and unstructured activities and to socialize with others while still receiving needed support care services. We provide a comprehensive selection of programs and activities, designed to promote well-being through social interaction. Our program allows our members, the opportunity to participate in a social setting that encompasses intellectual and physical well-being while in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
The frontline Personal Support Worker reports to the LHPIC manager(s), chief administrator, or designate. He / She would work in accordance to the mission, values and philosophy of the Loving Hands Partners in Care.
Looking for full time, part time and relief positions.

Responsibilities:
· Participate as a team member, follows employee guidelines, policies and procedures and communicates effectively with clients, volunteers and staff.
· Observes clients, volunteers, staff or guests to ensure a safe environment by reporting to the management unsafe conditions, incidents or behaviors.
· Able to respond to emergency procedures such as fire, illness or accidents and channel the appropriate agencies.
· Maintains confidentiality of the clients, staff and volunteers.
· Assist individuals with personal care.
· Performs a variety of cleaning procedures such as mopping the floors, washing dishes, disinfecting surfaces, emptying garbage bins and the like.
-We are looking for candidates who enjoy baking, cooking, arts & crafts, music and singing, fitness or outdoor activities, and community engagement.
· Performs any other duties which may be assigned.
Minimum requirements:
-Experience working with Vulnerable populations is an asset
· Criminal reference check
· Vulnerable sector screening
· Minimum required training in Emergency First Aid & CPR
· Non-violent Crisis intervention training (CPI)
-Criminal record and vulnerable sector screening
-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if applicable)
-Willingness to obtain class 4 driver's license within a specific timeframe.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
· Diploma in a related human/social service field.
· One-year recent related experience
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Knowledge in basic computer skills and documentation
· Ability to work independently and with a team.
· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
