As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Warehouse & Inventory Manager to lead warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving activities, and material flow within our manufacturing facility.
Position Summary
The Warehouse & Inventory Manager is responsible for inventory accuracy, warehouse operations, receiving activities, inventory reporting, ERP inventory management, and material flow throughout the organization. This role ensures that inventory records are accurate, materials are available to support production, warehouse processes operate efficiently, and inventory-related data within the ERP system is maintained and optimized. Experience in window shades, blinds, or related manufacturing industries is highly preferred.
In addition to leading warehouse and inventory functions, this position provides purchasing support and serves as the designated backup for the Supply Chain Manager when required. The successful candidate will help ensure continuity of procurement activities during absences while maintaining efficient warehouse and inventory operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Control
- Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy and material traceability.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock levels to support production requirements.
- Conduct and oversee cycle counts and annual physical inventory counts.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze inventory trends, excess inventory, slow-moving inventory, and obsolete stock.
- Generate inventory reports and KPIs for management review.
- Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded within the ERP system.
- Organize and lead annual physical inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and update inventory records.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, item master data, and warehouse locations.
- Monitor inventory turnover and inventory carrying costs and identify opportunities for improvement.
ERP, BOM & Inventory Systems Management
- Create, review, update, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the ERP system.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of inventory, purchasing, and manufacturing data.
- Implement, maintain, and optimize the warehouse barcoding system to improve inventory accuracy, traceability, and operational efficiency.
- Generate, analyze, and maintain monthly inventory valuation reports using the ERP system.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Finance to maintain accurate ERP master data.
- Support ERP system enhancements and inventory process improvements.
- Maintain item records, inventory locations, and material tracking information within the ERP system.
Warehouse Operations
- Manage daily warehouse operations and warehouse personnel.
- Supervise Material Handlers and warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient warehouse layout, material storage, and inventory organization.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and material flow.
- Oversee receiving activities and ensure incoming materials are accurately received, inspected, and recorded.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and receiving documentation.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and warehouse best practices.
- Assign work priorities, monitor productivity, and support employee development.
- Ensure warehouse equipment and storage systems are properly maintained.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Purchasing Support & Backup Coverage
- Support the Supply Chain Manager with purchasing activities as required.
- Create and issue purchase orders in accordance with approved purchasing procedures.
- Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers regarding delivery schedules and order status.
- Assist in maintaining supplier records and purchasing documentation.
- Support material planning activities to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained.
- Coordinate inbound logistics and supplier deliveries.
- Provide purchasing coverage during vacations, leaves of absence, or other periods when the Supply Chain Manager is unavailable.
- Ensure continuity of procurement operations and material availability during temporary staffing transitions.
- Assist with supplier performance tracking and purchasing process improvements.
Compliance & Reporting
- Prepare and generate Section 232 compliance reports and supporting documentation.
- Maintain inventory and warehouse records to support audit and reporting requirements.
- Support compliance with CUSMA / USMCA requirements and maintain supporting documentation as required.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Ensure proper record retention and documentation practices.
Supply Chain Coordination
- Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, and Finance teams to ensure material availability.
- Support production schedules through effective inventory planning and replenishment activities.
- Monitor inventory-related supply chain risks and communicate potential shortages.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory management, warehouse efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Assist in developing and maintaining efficient material flow processes throughout the organization.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, Materials Management, Purchasing, or Supply Chain functions within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience managing inventory accuracy, cycle counting programs, and inventory reconciliations.
- Experience maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and inventory-related ERP data.
- Experience generating inventory valuation, inventory reconciliation, and inventory analysis reports.
- Experience working with barcode systems and inventory tracking technologies.
- Experience creating purchase orders and supporting procurement activities.
- Experience in a custom manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, materials management, purchasing, and supply chain processes.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory analysis.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement methodologies is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift certification is considered an asset.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
