OHRM is hiring Window & Door Fabricators for a premier Canadian manufacturer specializing in custom oversized (XL/XXL) architectural entrance doors, sliding patio systems, and high-performance windows.
With more than 40 years of expertise, this second-generation, family-owned company has built a strong reputation for engineering and manufacturing luxury, high-end fenestration solutions.
You'll work in a unique environment combining a manufacturing facility, corporate office, and architectural showroom, where precision, craftsmanship, and quality are central to the work.
This is an opportunity for experienced aluminum window and door fabricators who are comfortable working with custom products and want to contribute to the manufacturing of high-end architectural systems.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Precision Fabrication, Machining & Cutting
- Fabricate aluminum window and door systems according to production requirements and specifications.
- Operate fabrication and machining equipment used to prepare aluminum profiles and components.
- Load and handle extruded aluminum profiles for cutting and processing.
- Perform precision cutting, drilling, routing, and other fabrication-related operations.
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, measurements, and fabrication specifications.
- Measure and prepare aluminum components accurately for assembly.
- Follow required dimensions and specifications throughout the fabrication process.
- Ensure fabricated components are prepared accurately for the next stage of production.
Window & Door System Assembly
- Assemble custom aluminum frames, sashes, doors, windows, and related architectural systems.
- Work with oversized architectural products, including large entrance doors, lift-and-slide patio doors, bi-folding glass systems, and other custom fenestration products.
- Install components, hardware, seals, weather stripping, and locking mechanisms as required.
- Follow product-specific assembly procedures and fabrication specifications.
- Assist with preparing frames and systems for additional features and hardware.
- Work carefully with premium aluminum profiles and other components to maintain product quality and finish.
Glazing & Weatherproofing
- Assist with the preparation and installation of glass into fabricated aluminum systems.
- Handle insulated and multi-pane glass carefully and safely.
- Assist with structural silicone application and other weatherproofing-related processes as required.
- Ensure seals, weatherproofing components, and related materials are installed correctly.
- Follow safe handling procedures when working with large or heavy glass components.
Quality Control
- Inspect completed and partially completed assemblies for quality and accuracy.
- Check measurements, alignment, squareness, level, fit, and overall finish.
- Identify fabrication or assembly issues before products move to shipping or installation.
- Ensure finished products meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Protect finished aluminum, glass, and other components from cosmetic damage during fabrication and handling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Material Handling & Shop-Floor Safety
- Manually move, lift, position, and handle aluminum profiles, components, and other materials.
- Safely handle large and heavy architectural components.
- Use appropriate lifting equipment, hoists, or overhead cranes where required and where trained/authorized.
- Follow workplace safety procedures when handling materials, machinery, glass, and fabrication equipment.
- Follow applicable WHMIS and workplace safety requirements.
- Maintain good housekeeping around workstations and production areas.
What We're Looking For
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in aluminum window and door fabrication.
- Demonstrated ability to perform window and door fabrication-related duties.
- Experience working with aluminum profiles and architectural window/door systems.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, fabricate, and assemble components.
- Ability to read and follow drawings, measurements, and fabrication specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to safely perform physical fabrication and material-handling duties.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop-floor environment.
You'll Be a Strong Fit If You Have:
- Experience fabricating custom or high-end aluminum windows and doors.
- Experience with architectural aluminum systems.
- Experience operating fabrication machinery or CNC equipment.
- Experience with cutting, drilling, routing, or machining aluminum profiles.
- Experience assembling large or oversized doors and window systems.
- Experience with glazing, seals, silicone, or weatherproofing.
- Experience working with European or other premium architectural fenestration systems.
What the Work Is Really Like
This is a hands-on manufacturing position.
You will spend your day working directly with aluminum profiles, window and door components, machinery, hardware, and potentially large glass assemblies.
The products can be oversized and heavy, so the role requires physical handling, careful positioning, and a strong focus on safe material movement.
You should be comfortable:
- Standing and working on your feet throughout the shift.
- Handling and positioning aluminum profiles and components.
- Working with large and potentially heavy window and door assemblies.
- Following precise measurements and fabrication specifications.
- Working around machinery and other production equipment.
- Maintaining quality while working to production requirements.
- Following safety procedures consistently.

Important: Relevant Experience Is Required
This position is specifically intended for candidates with hands-on aluminum window and door fabrication experience.
Candidates whose background is limited to general assembly, warehouse work, construction labour, or general manufacturing without relevant window and door fabrication experience may not be suitable for this position.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate genuine, practical experience performing fabrication-related duties.
