Duties & Responsibilities:
- Respond to service calls involving chiller and cooling tower equipment in high-rise condominiums, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.
- Service and repair centrifugal, screw, and scroll compressors, including York, Daikin, Trane, Carrier, Smardt, Arctic Cool, Tandem, and Multistack chiller systems.
- Perform chiller overhauls.
- Conduct daily chiller inspections, troubleshoot equipment, diagnose issues, and identify required repairs.
- Perform annual maintenance and inspections on chiller equipment.
- Stay current with changes in technology, equipment, and industry practices, and adapt accordingly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic Certificate of Qualification is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience servicing and maintaining chiller systems is preferred.
- Gas Technician 1 or Gas Technician 2 certification is considered an asset.
- Valid Ontario full G driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Dependable, responsible, and adaptable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Successful completion of a criminal record check is required as a condition of employment.
