POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join our Palm Holdings Corporate Head Office in Downtown Toronto. This role is responsible for processing payroll for multiple properties, managing accounts payable functions, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong financial acumen with prior experience in accounts payable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable Management:
- Hands on end-to-end accounts payable process for multiple hotel properties and related companies.
- Review, approve, and post high-volume invoices ensuring accurate GL coding and cost center allocation.
- Coordinate with hotel GMs, department heads, and corporate stakeholders for invoice approvals and dispute resolution.
- Lead weekly payment cycles, cheque runs, and wire transfers while maintaining cash flow efficiency.
- Ensure accurate and timely HST/GST remittances and expense reporting.
- Manage vendor relationships and maintain up-to-date vendor profiles and ensure timely reconciliations.
- Support month-end close with AP reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.
- Collaborate with operations teams on vendor compliance and purchasing best practices.
- Assist with external audits, internal policy updates, and systems implementation projects.
- Train and educate the hotel team and corporate team to best use the systems and processes.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Corporate Controller.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable functions.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. Beanworks, Sage300, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
