Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role is critical in supporting the overall financial health of our organization.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, or Sage for financial data entry and management.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
- Prepare financial statements and reports as required for management review.
- Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and documentation.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Help with organizing schedules
- applying for construction permits
- Basic admin duties
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with account reconciliation, payroll processing, and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- A degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus but not mandatory.
