Position Summary
MJ Express is seeking experienced, safety-focused AZ Cross Border Truck Drivers to join our growing team. We specialize primarily in the transportation of automotive freight, along with general freight, operating throughout Ontario, Michigan, Illinois, and surrounding U.S. states.
Our drivers are the face of our company and play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer in Canada and the United States.
- Transport automotive parts and general freight.
- Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
- Secure freight in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs) and all required paperwork.
- Comply with all FMCSA, DOT, MTO, CVOR, and Hours of Service regulations.
- Communicate professionally with Dispatch, Safety, Customers, and Border Officials.
- Cross the Canada/U.S. border efficiently while ensuring all customs documentation is accurate.
- Report equipment defects, incidents, delays, or safety concerns immediately.
- Represent MJ Express professionally at all customer locations.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Class AZ Driver's License.
- Minimum 2 years of verified AZ tractor-trailer experience.
- Valid FAST Card - Required
- Clean CVOR Driver Abstract.
- Clean Criminal Record suitable for cross-border travel.
- Ability to enter the United States.
- Strong understanding of Hours of Service regulations.
- Experience hauling automotive freight is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Preferred Experience
- Cross-border experience.
- Dry van freight.
- Flatbed/Chassis experience.
- Automotive freight.
- Electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Highway driving.
Physical Requirements
Drivers must be able to:
- Climb in and out of tractor-trailers safely.
- Lift up to 50 lbs when required.
- Bend, crouch, reach, and secure freight.
- Perform daily inspections in all weather conditions.
- Sit for extended periods while driving.
