Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated and dependable individual with strong leadership skills to join our team.
- Work scheduled shifts between 2:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., Monday through Saturday, as required.
- Unload trailers and reload freight into straight trucks and trailers.
- Sort, organize, and rebuild pallets while handling large volumes of boxed and bagged product.
- Start trucks and position single-axle and tandem-axle vehicles at loading docks.
- Check, monitor, and adjust refrigerated trailer (reefer) controls as required, training will be provided.
- Safely operate and maintain power equipment, trucks, and delivery equipment.
- Sort products and visually inspect pallets to ensure loading accuracy.
- Secure all pallets using appropriate strapping methods.
- Complete required paperwork and coordinate pallet organization for outbound shipments.
- Maintain effective communication with all staff, drivers and team members.
- Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract dated within the past 30 days.
- Current criminal record check.
- Physically fit and capable of repeatedly lifting 30–75 lbs.
- Strong English communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- CSA approved steel-toe safety footwear.
- Experience operating a power jack and stand-up forklift (straddle reach).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or freight-handling experience is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership experience is preferred.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
