KIDZ AUTISM AND SPEECH CLINIC is currently looking for enthusiastic individuals to fill part-time Independent Contractor Instructor Therapist (ABA) positions. Instructor Therapists will work one-on-one with young children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (or other developmental disabilities) in home and school/daycare/clinic settings across the Durham Region, ON. We are specifically seeking candidates who are available during evenings and weekends.
Candidates may be required to travel throughout their area to meet the needs of a diverse clientele. Successful candidates must collaborate with other team members in the consistent implementation of a student's behavioural programs and procedures, maintain regular communication with parents as required and participate in scheduled team meetings as required.
Successful candidates should possess:
- A College Diploma or University Degree in ABA related field
- Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder
- Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
- A valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle or other reliable method of transportation (when travel is required)
- Experience as an Instructor Therapist (IT) implementing ABA/IBI programming is an asset.
- ABA/Autism related Diploma/Certificate is mandatory.
Successful candidates are required to complete a criminal background check (with Vulnerable Sector).
