Looking for a career, not just a job?
At Domino High Voltage Supply, we supply the equipment and materials that help keep power flowing across Canada. We work with utilities, contractors, and industrial customers on projects ranging from local distribution work to major transmission infrastructure.
We're looking for someone who is organized, eager to learn, and enjoys solving problems. No previous experience in the powerline, utility, or electrical industry is required—we'll teach you everything you need to know.
Whether you're coming from customer service, retail, administration, construction, trades, or another sales role, we're more interested in your attitude and willingness to learn than your industry background.
A Unique Opportunity at Our Elmsdale Branch
Unlike some of our larger locations where responsibilities may be more specialized, our Elmsdale branch operates with a small, collaborative team environment where employees gain exposure to all aspects of the business.
This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a broad range of skills across sales, customer service, operations, and logistics. As your knowledge and experience grow, you'll become a key contributor responsible for supporting all areas of branch operations, including sales, customer service, shipping, receiving, inventory coordination, and day-to-day branch activities.
If you're someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of your work, and wants to build a long-term career with increasing responsibility, this role offers exceptional opportunities for growth and development.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Inside Sales Representative, you'll work closely with customers, suppliers, and our experienced sales team to help quote, source, and coordinate materials for utility and powerline projects.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing customer Bills of Material (BOMs) and project requirements
- Requesting pricing and availability from manufacturers and suppliers
- Building quotations for customer projects
- Working with supervisors and senior team members to review quotes and develop solutions
- Following up on quotations and customer inquiries
- Processing customer orders and ensuring accurate order entry
- Coordinating with suppliers to track order status and delivery schedules
- Assisting customers with product questions and project updates
- Preparing invoices and supporting order completion from quote to delivery
- Learning industry products, utility standards, and powerline construction applications
- Maintaining accurate customer, quote, and project records
- Developing strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners
- Identifying opportunities to provide additional products and solutions that support customer projects
- Troubleshooting supply, logistics, and product challenges to help keep projects on schedule
- Supporting outside sales representatives with project pricing, material sourcing, and customer follow-up
- Learning to interpret utility specifications, drawings, and material lists
- Helping ensure customers receive exceptional service throughout every stage of a project
- Assisting with shipping and receiving activities, including preparing outbound shipments and receiving incoming product
- Coordinating inventory movements and helping maintain accurate inventory records
- Supporting warehouse and general branch operations as required
- Ensuring customers receive prompt, professional service both in person and over the phone
- Assisting with branch organization and operational efficiency
- Learning all aspects of the business with the goal of becoming a versatile contributor across sales, customer service, operations, and logistics
- Taking increasing ownership of branch responsibilities as knowledge and experience develop
- Supporting inventory counts and general branch operations as required
- Contributing to a positive, team-oriented workplace
What We're Looking For
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Comfortable working with computers and business software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Customer-focused mindset
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Professional and confident communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in a hands-on environment
- A willingness to learn all aspects of branch operations
- An entrepreneurial mindset and desire to take ownership of responsibilities
- Desire to build a long-term career in sales, customer service, operations, and the electrical utility industry
Bonus Qualifications (Not Required)
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, distribution, construction, industrial supply, administration, or inside sales
- Experience using ERP, CRM, or inventory management software
- Mechanical, electrical, or technical aptitude
- Experience reviewing quotes, purchase orders, or project documentation
