Metalumen Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Robotics / Automation Technician to join our team in Guelph. This is a hands-on role in a factory setting, some machining and working with advanced robotic systems supporting high-quality manufacturing processes.
This position is ideal for candidates with robotics experience who enjoy programming, troubleshooting, and working with automated equipment in a sometimes physically demanding and active environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Program and operate UR10e collaborative robot (assembly, laser welding, brake press)
- Program and operate Fanuc robotic gasketing (sealing) system
- Operate and support ABB spot welding robot in production.
- Program and maintain automated fastening systems
- Perform hands-on machine setup and adjustments
- Troubleshoot robotic systems and improve performance
- Work with Engineering and Production to support new product launches
- Read and interpret blueprints and metric measurements
- Maintain quality, safety, and production standards
Qualifications
- Diploma or formal training in Robotics, Automation, or related field
- Minimum 2+ years of robotics experience (ABB, Fanuc, UR preferred)
- Experience with robot programming and troubleshooting
- Experience with gasketing/sealing systems is an asset
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and automation processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Basic computer skills (MS Office)

- Factory / manufacturing setting
- Physically demanding (standing, lifting, bending, repetitive tasks)
- Exposure to robotics, automated equipment, and industrial machinery
- Handling of metal components and sealing materials
- PPE required at all times
Compensation & Benefits
- $24.00 – $27.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Straight day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
